2007-2008 Performing Arts Series

The 2006-2007 Performing Arts Series presented by the University of Nevada, Reno has yet another stellar season planned at an incredible price. The Performing Arts Series is offering pre-season ticket discounts for the five performances, for savings of as much as 40 percent if purchased by August 1:

• Family/$90 (includes one general admission and one student under age 17)
• General admission/$75
• Seniors (over age 62)/$65
• Students/$35
Children under age 6 are admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult. All performances will be at 7:30 p.m. in Nightingale Concert Hall on the university campus.

Parking
Patrons attending evening events (Monday-Friday) in the Church Fine Arts Complex are permitted to park in the new parking garage and in parking areas adjacent to Church Fine Arts, beginning one-half hour before an event begins. This does not apply to dormitory parking lots, or any lots posted "enforced 24 hours." Please e-mail pas@unr.edu with any questions or concerns about parking for arts events.

GAMING MANAGEMENT SERIES WEEKLONG COURSES FOR 2008
Now in its 15th year, the University of Nevada, Reno’s Gaming Management Series provides the best demonstrated practices used today, allowing participants to update, enhance and learn management tools unique to the gaming industry. More than 1,200 participants have attended the series, including key staff from a broad range of operations — riverboats, land based, and Native American — in the United States and from as far away as Norway, South Africa, the Caribbean, Macedonia, Switzerland, Hungary, Kenya, Canada and Russia.

“History, Culture, Politics and Society in Turkey: Summer Study Tour to Turkey” (HIST 498/698, PSC 407i/607i or SOC 497/697)

Designed to provide a rich historical and cultural experience through intense study, including lectures and fieldtrips, this summer study tour to Turkey will be based at Koç University in Istanbul and is offered by the University of Nevada, Reno’s departments of history, political science and sociology. A pre-trip meeting will be held in April 2008. The group will convene in Istanbul, June 8, 2008, and disband in Istanbul, June 23, 2008. Course fee: $2,500, includes dormitory accommodations in Istanbul and breakfast each day, tuition for three undergraduate or graduate credits, airport shuttle service in Istanbul, local transportation and admission to museums and attractions for weekday fieldtrips, textbook and course materials (airfare is not included).
